![]() ![]() Those are far milder cam timing numbers than BMW Oilhead twins or K bikes use, and the Euro versions have even more duration than US bikes. ![]() I was also surprised that the cam timing, 246 degrees for intake and 206 degrees for exhaust is so short. Considering the shared Teutonic heritage I am wondering if the same tuning tricks apply to these bikes. Martin Bennett build a tribute to one of the wildest show rods. 6 mach, thats how you get volumetric efficiency of over 100. View attachment 773171 Same car with stacks is a failure at life. (Edited) Intake velocity inside a motor typically under. These stacks come with our very popular Bug. I like the one they ran on the Hot Rod Crusher Camaro. New velocity stacks for 2 barrel Stromberg, Holley and Ford carburetors. Then that would give you a room if you want to run the flame arrestors, then put the scoop on. Has anyone ever tried either a larger diameter intake horn on the stock 1130 cc engine and airbox (rather than cutting holes in the air box lid) or cut a small opening in the bottom of the existing intake horn in the manner BMW does on the K-1100 intake horn?ītw, larger diameter intakes and the slot I mentioned in the intake horn are all techniques I have used to extract more power and better throttle response (the slot defeats ram air at low rpm enhancing throttle response) on Beemers. Get some velocity stacks, and mold a fiberglass Base from them. Is this true? How much is the loss and what is the gain above 4500 rpm? What are the differences if the air box is kept on the bike and a K&N air filter used? Refer to the home made ones on my 3 duece setup on my avitar. New velocity stacks for 2 barrel Stromberg, Holley and Ford carburetors. And most anything will work as a velocity stack, as long as its about 3-4 inches in height. From what I saw earlier in the thread a stock engine looses power below 4500 rpm changing from stock throttle bodies to 58 mm throttle bodies and stacks. What velocity stacks do is to straighten out the air flow going to your carburetor, thereby allowing a smooth consistant flow. ![]()
